Things To Do In The Ramstein Area

Rhineland Palatinate is one of the 16 states of the Federal Repulic of Germany and Ramstein-Miesenbach belongs to Rhineland Palatinate.

Ramstein-Miesenbach is the administrative center of the union community of Ramstein-Miesenbach and the following villages belong to the union community and all are a few minutes drive from Ramstein-Miesenbach.

Ramstein-Miesenbach offers all services to its citizens and visitors, such as doctors, dentist, sports, gymns, shopping and many other services. 

The city has all levels of schools, numerous private clubs, associations and organizations that host a variety of events throughout the year.

Ramstein-Miesenbach is considered the region's carnival center. The carnival parade is held on Shrove Tuesday and attracts tens of thousands of spectators each year.

The Ramstein Air Base was built in 1951 and is the home of the Headquarters of the US Air Force Europe (USAFE) and the Allied Air Forces Northern Europe (AIRNORTH). The city provided the base approximately one third of its 4.300 hectares of land.

The "Haus des Bürgers", is Ramstein's cultural and conference center, and host numerous national and international stars every year. It also houses the city library and the youth office.

The AZUR Water World located in Ramstein is an attractive swimming and recreational pool and provides year-round indoor/outdoor recreation for people of all ages.

Ramstein-Miesenbach has lots to offer in the area of recreation and relaxation. There is a Nature Park, a  large continuous forest area close-by with hiking and bicycle paths and a multitude of excellent recreational opportunities.
